Day 2: Muscat City Tour ½ day
Visit the magical Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque (except on Fridays), a splendor of unique Islamic architecture. Drive through the Ministries. Stop at the traditional Mutrah Souk. Get a glance at Oman’s culture, at the Museum. Stroll along for a view of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos’s Palace, the Al Alam Palace…. Stop at the Amouage shop in Sabco, to learn about the most valuable perfume in the world, the gift of Kings.

Day 3: Coast – Wadi Shab and Turtles
Pickup at hotel at 8h30 AM. Start the tour by Bimah sinkhole, a spectacular limestone crater with inviting blue-green water ….. Continue to Wadi Shab and enjoy a walk through the wadi. You will see pools appearing before you and may enjoy a refreshing swim. ….. enter Wadi Tiwi with its green pools and lush plantations.
Your next stop is in Sur, famous for its trading and Dhow Building Yard. The sheltered lagoon is a perfect picture ……
The turtles come to lay their eggs at night and this experience is a memorable one.

Day 4: Wadi Bani Khalid – Wahiba sands desert
You have a second chance early morning, to see the turtles….
After breakfast, you will start by a drive to the Wadi Bani Khalid, one of the most picturesque wadis in Oman where water flows all year round. ……more pools with waterfalls. Your journey continues to Wahiba sands, with its golden sand dunes. Meet a Bedouin family, do some dune bashing which consists in going up and down the dunes like a roller coaster with your 4×4. Enjoy the tranquility of the desert …… The night in the desert will be a memorable one.

Day 5: Ibra – Nizwa – Jebel Shams
Leave the golden sand dunes behind you and after a stop in Ibra for a closer look at the watchtowers proudly looking over villages from the top of the hills, head towards Nizwa, which was once the capital of Oman, visit the traditional and craft Souk and the Fort of Nizwa with its large circular tower ….. The breathtaking view from the tower will show you how big the plantation is. Your journey then continues to Jebel Shams, “Sun Mountain”, Oman’s highest peak, 3009 m…..spectacular view of the “Grand Canyon”.

Day 6: Jebel Shams trek – Wadi Nakhr – Muscat
Trek to the Abandonned village, walk is not compulsary. The view is just magnificent….
Enter Wadi Nakhr, a narrow canyon, geologically spectacular, being one of the deepest canyons on the planet. Go deep inside to visit the village where the main activity is weaving, especially Omani rugs …… Return to Muscat.

Day 7: Mussandam
Transfer to Muscat airport. Oman Air, own booking.
Arrive in Khasab (Mussandam) and meet your guide.
Start your tour, Mountain Safari to Jebel Harim. Spectacular scenic routes through mountain and valleys …..visit centuries old village of Bait Al Qafl the old house and Khalidiya with its many acacia trees.

Day 8: Dhow Cruise
Dhow Cruise to Khor Sham in azure waters through a majestic fjord (Khor) …. enjoy dolphin watching. The Dhow will anchor at Telegraph Island and Seebi Island for swimming and snorkeling in pristine waters.

Day 9: Salalah
Transfer to Khasab airport. Oman Air flight, own booking.
Arrival in Salalah and transfer to your hotel

Day 10: West Salalah ½ day
Visit Nabi Ayub or Job’s Tomb just outside the Jabbali village. Continue to Mughsayl, and blow holes, the almost vertical holes, real geological wonders.
Learn about the famous Frankincenses trees and the ritual of cutting the frankincense trees.

Day 11: East Salalah
Start your tour with a visit of Sumhuram, the pre-islamic Frankincense port and beloved bird watching spot.
Continue with Wadi Dirbat famous dam in the Dhofar mountain range.
Visit Taqah Fort and drive to a fishermen’s village, Mirbat, famous for horses and the Frankincense trade.

Day 12: Muscat
Transfer to Salalah airport.
Flight with Oman Air. Own booking.
Arrive in Muscat and meet your guide and transfer to your hotel.

Day 14: Dolphin watching and snorkeling cruise 3 H
Transfer to the Marina to board the Dolphin watching cruise.
Dolphins are a familiar sight here in Oman; it is home to a variety of dolphins and whale species. You can see the dolphins playing in the waters of Oman. This trip will also stop in a stunning bay and you can find out for yourself the beauty of marine life in Omani waters.
