2 Days / 1 Night

Day 1 Scenic coastal road and Turtles
Your guide will pick you up at 8:30 AM and you will start by going towards Quriyat, which lies on the east coast at the end of a sandy plain overlooked by the Eastern Hajar Mountains. Near Dibab is Bimah sinkhole with its inviting clear green waters, concrete steps lead down the side making swimming possible. The route continues along the coastline and we’ll stop at Fins with its famous “White Beach” tucked beneath the cliffs, white sandy beaches with incredible turquoise sea. The picture perfect postcard.

The journey continues along the coast and through the coastal village of Tiwi. Enter Wadi Tiwi with its blue-green pools of water surrounded by palm trees.
Overlooking Qalhat is Bibi Mariam Tomb, standing proudly on top of the hill. Qhalhat is one of the oldest town and seaports of Oman. (Closed for archeological searches)

Your next stop will be in Sur, another town famous for its trading and still now famous for its Dhow Building Yard. The sheltered lagoon is a perfect picture with all the white houses of Sur in the background and old Dhows floating …or not…in the lagoon.
Arrive at Ras Al Hadd in the afternoon where you can relax before dinner and after go for turtle watching.

Turtle Reserve needs to be booked in advance PM or/and AM but it will be paid directly at the Reserve.

Day 2 Wadi Bani Khalid and Wahiba sands
If you feel brave enough, you will have a second chance for turtle watching before sunrise. Watch the last turtles go back to sea, sometimes you can even see the babies coming out of the sand and start a race to the ocean. (To be booked in advance)

After breakfast, you will start by a drive to the Desert via Asellah, following the scenic rocky coastline, to visit the old Mosque in Jallan Bani Bu Ali, Al Hamooda Mosque, built in 11th Century, it has 52 domes supported by pillars and a main entrance with carved wooden doors.

Continue to Wadi Bani Khalid nestled deep into the mountains it is a true oasis and one of the largest and most picturesque wadis in Oman where water flows all year round. You can cool down in the green pools or walk up the wadi and see more pools with waterfalls. Last but not least you will have a chance to do some dune bashing in Wahiba desert before heading back to Muscat.
